Joachim Quoden

Joachim Quoden has been fully licensed as lawyer in Bonn, Germany, since June 1995.

Besides this, he has been working for about 13 years as in-house lawyer of the company “Der Grüne Punkt – Duales System Deutschland GmbH” which is dealing with the organisation of the selected collection of packaging all over Germany, known by its trade mark “The Green Dot” and the Yellow Bin and sack which are used to collect the used packaging at households.

From January 2001, he served as Head of International Affairs of DSD and was vested with general commercial power of representation in 2003. In January 2001 he also became Secretary General of PRO EUROPE, the umbrella organisation of 31 packaging recovery organisations seated in 30 European countries and in Ontario, Canada. Since April 2005 he was appointed as General Manager of this organisation.

Therefore he got very detailed knowledge about the implementation of the Packaging Directive in the different European Member States as well as in other countries around the world and his advice was asked in implementing and amending the respective packaging legislation in various countries.
